BDS Tech Tip of the Month – Leveraging Storage Investments
By leveraging existing server investments, BDS allows your implementation to scale gracefully. Thanks to the modular architecture of BDS, you can use the most logical location for your file-store just as you can use existing web, database and application server investments. If you find that more file storage is needed than anticipated, BDS can adjust. Configuring BDS to use a new file-store location is a simple process. Just copy over the existing BDS data store to the a location and configure the BDS application to point to the new location. This will be transparent to Senders and Recipients as the web, application and database layers are unaffected.
