BDS – The Trusted Enterprise Solution for Secure File Transfer

Biscom Delivery Server announces version 2.5.1

Biscom Delivery Server will release product version 2.5.1 this month. This new version achieves a major milestone – it is fully end-user customizable. BDS now offers customers the ability to completely update and edit practically every text field in the application, without the use of professional services. The customization also extends beyond the basic application to the online help functionality. Customers can edit the online help files to suit their particular industry or use case, and also use their own terminology, workflow and processes.

BDS Tech Tip of the Month

Many users like the Express Delivery feature which enables them to send files out to one or more people in a single step. However, most people don’t realize that they can resend those files out easily without having to re-upload the files. And if the files are sent out regularly, you can keep sending out those same files over and over again.

If you’ve already created an Express Delivery, a package with your files has also been created and can be accessed through the Manage Packages menu option. Or, you can create a new package and then deliver it. Either way, once you’re in your package, simply click the “Deliver package now” button and add your recipients. Also, if you add, remove, or change any of the files in the package, all your recipients will see the updated files.

Going Green with Biscom Delivery Server

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, www.epa.gov, truck and rail transport consumes more than 35 billion gallons of diesel fuel each year. This produces more than 350 million metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. Carbon dioxide is the most common greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming, a major factor in global climate change. BDS is doing its part to help companies reduce their carbon footprint by allowing them to eliminate the use of courier services that use diesel fuel to deliver their documents.
