Biscom Teams with International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) for Nationwide Roadshow

Seminars, Focused on File Transfer Security, Kick Off in New York on Dec. 1

Chelmsford, MA November 19, 2010 – Biscom, provider of the most trusted solution for secure file transfer, announced today that it has partnered with ILTA to present an educational roadshow titled, “Simplifying Large File Transfer While Protecting Confidential Client Information.” The shows, which are sponsored by ILTA’s Server Operations & Security Peer Group, will feature Charlie Magliato, Legal Program Director of Biscom and law firm IT directors and CIOs sharing their experiences and challenges with sending large files.

The first presentation, which kicks off in New York City on Dec. 1, features Arron Johnson, Information Technology Director of Outten & Golden LLP. That presentation will be followed by a Boston seminar on Dec. 8 which will be headlined by Bruce Bial, Information Technology Director of Riemer Braunstein LLP. The events are complimentary and open to all law firm attorneys and staff members.

Law firms face multiple challenges associated with transferring large files to external parties - from security breaches to unreliable technologies such as e-mail and FTP sites. The roadshow will focus on how to analyze the cost, administrative overhead and impact on staff productivity associated with current law firm practices for file transfers. Discussion will also include an overview of leading edge file transfer technologies designed to improve the user experience, reduce IT cost and meet regulatory compliance.
